The Dixell XEV21D is a controller for a wide range of stepper electronic expansion valves. It can control single or double pole EEVs. The Dixell XEV21D allows you to control the superheat (SH) of the refrigerant flowing in the circuit to optimize evaporator performance and function regardless of climatic conditions or load. Superheat control is performed when a command is given by the temperature controller (compressor relay closure) , which activates the digital input of the XEV22D controller. Dixell XEV21D is equipped with two digital inputs, as well as one input for 4÷20mA or 0÷5V from a pressure sensor and one input for a Pt1000 or NTC temperature sensor. The LAN connection allows the pressure signal to be transferred to other XEV modules to use only one pressure sensor for applications such as display cabinets with multiple evaporators. Two configurable digital inputs, one voltage-free and the other voltage-sensitive, simplify the transfer of cooling requirements from a conventional refrigeration thermostat (e.g. Dixell XR60CX) to the Dixell XEV21D. An RS485 serial line allows connection to Dixell monitoring systems.
