The Ebro FOM 330 is used for fast and reliable direct measurement of the quality of frying cooking oil. It allows simple determination of the correct time foroil change , which is necessary for high quality frying and compliance with hygiene regulations. As a result, frying oil consumption can be reduced by up to 10%. Whenever one relies solely on one's own senses, the assessment of the quality of frying oil is subjective and therefore questionable. It is no longer necessary to estimate the wear and tear of frying and deep-frying oil by its colour, smell or smokiness. None of these parameters indicate when it is really necessary to change the oil from a hygiene point of view. With the Ebro FOM 330, you can accurately and reliably determine the limit of when to change the frying oil. You will avoid using oil that is already defective or save money in the event of premature disposal of oil that can still be used.
The Ebro FOM 330 works on the principle of measuring the polar particles (TPM) contained in the oil. The content of these polar particles is given as a percentage of TPM. The measured value is displayed immediately after the measurement on a large, clear display, together with the current oil temperature. The measuring instrument also contains a colour signal light that lights up green, yellow or red after the measurement, depending on the measured value of polar particles. This feature is very useful for control activities where
This instrument is a great advantage in operations where there is a change of operators and, as a result, oil change errors and possible subsequent complications can occur. In addition to the quality of the oil, the instrument can be used to accurately determine the current temperature of the oil and to check for oil overheating and the preparation of certain types of food (e.g. potato products) at inappropriate temperatures.
As an option, a test oil with a defined TPM value can be supplied for self-calibration prior to measurement.
